The shank is the cut taken from the lower section of the lamb's legs and can be from the front legs (foreshank) or the back legs (hind shank). The foreshank may contain part of the shoulder as well as the leg, while the hind shank is only taken from a part of the rear leg.

Seller contacted me explaining that the carrier was at fault for the delayed shipment that caused the ice in the package to melt and the meat to rot (I can confirm this through the shipment tracking). Seller refunded the order amount and offered discount code. Based on the customer service, i am happy and will be returning as a customer for a better experience. P.S. i would suggest the seller include more ice in the packages next time to account for uncertainty in shipment delays.
